Don't try, to stop the flow of time
Constantly it goes, especially when you've sold your soul
Won't escape, taste the essence dissipate
Life recants, hear the darkness chant thy name
Silence you speak, when the echoes repeat
Reflects in his sleeve, the life you wish could be
Shivers will creep, the chill of asking to leave
Once you claim the belief, only I can grant you relief
Once upon the cross of this ancient holocaust
One deed leads to me and it beckons for loss
Once it speaks your name your forever enslaved
Only way out is pay the price beyond this life
Let me see you, young child
Let me fulfill your deepest regards
Let me claim the skin from your bones
Light a candle to guide
Summon my spirit tonight
Look at all I can provide
No one knows beyond this suffering
No one knows beyond just imagining
The pieces of thyself sold to reprimand
Like suicide but asking for a helping hand
See the emptiness gleam, as vast as the sea, what it's truly offering
Shatters the dream, hear the devils sing
What you really want from me, is to believe
Silence you speak, when the echoes repeat
Reflects in his sleeve, the life you wish could be
Shivers will creep, the chill of asking to leave
Once you claim the belief, only I can grant you relief

Time ticks, time takes
Give into the dream, fall asleep
Give into the dream, fall asleep...
Gods witness me, They see what I take and what I never leave
All who beckon thee, feel me become, feel me beneath
All of the unholy, fear my wrath and fear what I conceive
Devils speak through me, they see what I take and what I never leave
Blood seals the deal (Reaching to the void...)
Dust becomes of your will (Reaching to the void...)
Salt the bones to reveal (Reaching to the void...)
Peel back the skin to feel (Reaching to the void...)
Sell your first born to heal (Reaching to the void...)
Slaughter your love to conceal (Reaching to the void...)
I will consume all you hold dear (Reaching to the void...)
Silence, Silence echoes for years....

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
